With over 30 years of experience in dance instruction, human services, and education, I’ve discovered a universal truth: we all need quality relationships that engage, empower, and encourage us to become our best selves.
While many of us have seen glimpses of healthy connection, few have developed or enhanced the skills to sustain them. That’s where my work begins. |
Since the pandemic, we’ve seen a rise in loneliness, relational conflict, domestic violence, and mental health challenges—so much so that the U.S. Surgeon General declared loneliness a national epidemic in May 2023.
These challenges underscore the urgent need to develop and strengthen our capacity to relate well at all levels. Relational intelligence or Relational IQ is an often-overlooked facet of social-emotional learning, as well as professional and personal development. Relational skills are not just helpful; they’re essential. They form the backbone of thriving communities, powerful teams, effective leadership, and personal well-being. |
Through The Relational Dance, I lead interactive, movement-based experiences that are engaging and grounded in the science of relationships. Studies that prove and suggest retaining information is increased when we have the opportunity to hear, see, and practice new skills in real time.
That’s why my work is rooted in embodied learning—helping participants build real-world relational skills they can use in classrooms, boardrooms, living rooms, and beyond. My goal is simple: to offer quality experiences where connection is practiced, belonging is felt, and healthy relationships become the norm—not the exception. |
